It was a very sweet gesture because I have an issue with the ethical sourcing of diamonds so she used an ethical source for this particular stone.

When I designed my engagement ring with the jeweller, this was suggested to me since I’m a seamstress. The jeweller himself said that prongs/claws can weaken over time and even fully break off if you keep having to bend them back into shape.
