I bought one on my XDM elite in .45. The battery died in 3 months. You have to remove the sight then re-zero after changing the battery. I searched the internet and found several other complaints of short battery life. The Hex dragonfly is in a drawer somewhere, and a Holosun 507 is on the gun. It was a $200 mistake I wish I had not made.

The Dragonfly is a very reasonably priced optic, but with premium build quality and features. I have no doubt that the Dragonfly will serve you well.
The Venom is 10.4 ounces heavier but does give you more light gathering with the 56mm objective. It's also longer but with a touch less eye relief (0.3") and it has slightly more magnification range (5-25 vs 6-24 for the Razor). That big ol' bell on the end of the scope might require some high rings so it'll clear the barrel.
